Our client is looking to hire a Technical Project Manager to deliver contractual obligations to our clients within a designated timeline with effective and efficient stakeholder communication.
The successful Technical Project Manager will accomplish project objectives by planning project activities and evaluating the implementation and progress of the project. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for capturing and reviewing the planned costs versus budgeted costs within a project, setting up and controlling the project plan and costs, handing over work packages to development and business implementation and internal testing. You will be accountable for managing technical and business aspects and the entire BM software implementation project. Managing the project team, preparing work for invoicing (approval, project progress documentation), meeting and exceeding client expectations, and managing customer relations.
- Engage in advance preparation to identify clients’ needs through written and verbal consultation.
- Ensure thorough documentation of product and process inconsistencies/ issues/software concerns for follow-up and, or resolution by programming staff.
- Actively participate in required team meetings and provide feedback and updates to the team.
- Actively participate in ensuring the project is on schedule and on budget and stays within scope.
- Identify and document potential risks and issues and, in conjunction with the project team, determine mitigation strategies.
- Participate in the ongoing quality improvement efforts for processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on all client-related topics.
- Communicate internally and externally to ensure business requirements line up with the project scope.
- Deliver analysis documentation by identifying requirements and meetings with clients.
- Ensure all technical design specifications meet business requirements and are in alignment with client expectations.
- Assist QA with information on test cases and scenarios to ensure they meet requirements as needed.
- Lead the client in test execution (approval).
- Serve as a link between the business (PM) and technical teams (QA and Dev) to ensure technical understanding of the appropriate business requirements.
- Provide insight into alternative means of meeting business needs.
- Thoroughly document the project progress.
- Adhere to contractual obligations.
- Managing BM-software implementation in worldwide projects independently from concept to acceptance phase from functional and technical point of view.
- Customer requirements elicitation, concept creation and functional/technical alignment with internal/external contacts.
- Clarify project goals, conduct IT-project plan (incl. resource management and risk analysis).
- Close alignment with other project managers, business and IT customer contacts and responsible for high customer satisfaction.
- Responsibility to discuss, implement and develop project requirements with the project team and/or development team.
- At least 2+ years of professional experience in a Technical Project Management position or similar is essential.
- At least a bachelor's degree in a related discipline is highly advantageous.
- Project Management certificate (PMI, IPMA) or similar highly advantageous.
- Experience in IT-requirements engineering and IT-Change Management is highly advantageous.
- Experience with the automotive industry is highly advantageous.
- Business management experience is highly advantageous.
- Sound MS Office Knowledge.
- Versed in handling (IT) projects and process-oriented work style.
- Distinct analytical and communications skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Vision.
- Ability to manage a diverse and demanding portfolio of activities.
- Self-reliant, reliable and pronounced collaboration skills.
- Commitment and a desire to solve issues in a quick and timely manner.
- Ability to prioritise work and good at planning ahead.
- The ability to work effectively and remain calm whilst under pressure.
- Active listening skills set.

- At least a professional level of German and English, both written and verbal, is essential.
- Legally authorised to work in Austria and/or Germany.
