Position Description:
- We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Writer to join our Cybersecurity team.
- You will play a critical role in ensuring that our cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems are well-understood and properly implemented.
- In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation for a variety of audiences, including technical staff, non-technical stakeholders, and end-users.
Skills Required:
- Experience with graphic design and multimedia development.
- Knowledge of different cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the cybersecurity field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in authoring tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp, or Microsoft Word.
- Experience with content management systems.
Experience Required:
- Training materials Incident response plans Security awareness materials
- Collaborate with cybersecurity team members to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
- Develop and maintain a wide range of cybersecurity documentation, including: Policies and procedures System documentation User manuals and guides
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear and easy-to-understand language.
- Adhere to style guides and templates to ensure consistency and quality.
- Use a variety of authoring and content management tools.
- Manage documentation review and approval processes.
- Stay up-to-date on cybersecurity best practices and industry trends.
- Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and FAQs.
- Assist with other cybersecurity-related tasks as needed.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.
Education Preferred:
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) are a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $41.72 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
