About The Position

Position Location: Port Pirie

Position Status: Full Time

Uniting Country Housing (UCH) is a Tier 2 Community Housing Organisation under the National Community Housing Regulations. UCH is a sister organisation of Uniting Country SA (UCSA) and has adopted the vision, values, policies and procedures of UCSA. This program provides professional and compassionate tenancy support and property management.

As the Tenancy Officer, you will provide quality tenancy management services, including communicating with tenants and a diverse range of stakeholders to encourage a successful tenancy. You will be involved in coordinating maintenance with local tradespeople, and liaising with tenants and support workers. Routine property inspections are another aspect of the role to assist tenants to comply with their obligations.

Skills and Experiences:
You will:
  • Be motivated to work with individuals and families requiring supported housing within the Community Housing Sector.
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Have knowledge of housing services and/or property management.
It is essential for you to have:
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Relevant experience, in a paid or voluntary capacity.
It is desirable for you to have:
  • Certificate IV (or above) in a Property Management or Community Services related field.
You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA and Uniting Country Housing sites or interstate as required.
