Description:
The Tenancy Solutions Specialist is responsible for managing all end-of-tenancy processes ensuring timely, consistent and effective resolution of tenancy exits. This includes managing tenancy terminations, property hand backs, former tenancy arrears and debt, and pathways for reallocation or re-entry into housing.
The role works collaboratively across teams to deliver practical, solution-focused responses that support positive tenancy outcomes and reduce tenancy-related risk. It includes assisting clients to overcome barriers to re-enter social or affordable housing where appropriate and contributing to sustained engagement with the housing system.
The Tenancy Solutions Specialist is also responsible for preparing and representing Argyle Housing in all relevant NSW and ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT/ACAT) proceedings. This includes ensuring accurate documentation, identifying resolution options early, and supporting negotiated outcomes where possible, in line with legislation and Argyle Housing policy.
Skills and Experiences:
•
Cert IV in Social Housing (desirable)
•
Up to date knowledge of relevant tenancy and housing legislation
•
Knowledge of social housing policies and procedures
•
Sound understanding of social and community issues impacting on social and affordable housing clients
•
Sensitivity and understanding of cultural and socio-economic characteristics
- Current driver’s licence
