About the role:

Working across our Food Retail Services & Institutional divisions you will provide our customers, ranging from Supermarkets, Aged Care facilities and Hospitality sites with cleaner, safer and healthier environments. Our products and services touch people’s lives daily, ensuring they are exposed to sanitary environments that protect their health and wellbeing.

The successful applicant will work across Christchurch and the surrounding areas. Your key objectives will be to provide the highest standard of service excellence to Food Retail & Institutional clients in the region where you are to retain and grow the business to achieve the assigned sales goals to your territory.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing a specialist service with a view to resolving our customers’ sanitisation needs

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers

  • Managing the sales budget through complete and effective territory management

  • Conducting training sessions to ensure our customers are using our sanitising solutions and equipment effectively and safely.

  • Conduct food safety, brand standards and other on-site evaluations

  • Providing a high level of customer service through regular call cycles

  • Selling add-on solutions for our customers.

  • Assisting with growing the business by identifying new opportunities for our customers

  • Servicing equipment and conducting some basic repairs/maintenance

Full training will be provided to the successful candidate, based upon Ecolab’s extensive training program.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience within the Food Retail or Cooking industries, with a deep understanding of food safety and compliance

  • The drive, tenacity, and enthusiasm to succeed and provide solutions that add genuine value

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.

  • A hands-on approach in providing service to your customers

  • Some mechanical aptitude

  • A track record in meeting targets
