Test Automation Engineer (Ic)

Job Description: A Test Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of software products. This role involves working independently to create and execute test scripts, identify bugs, and collaborate with development teams to improve software quality.

The position will operate for one of the P&C Insurance products and working closely with the development team. The position requires in-depth involvement in Project planning, scheduling and end to end project. Performing to match the strategy and demands of the programs is an important role to perform. This position will require use of good knowledge in documentation.

Responsibilities: Develop, enhance, and maintain Selenium-based automation scripts using Java, java script and cypress.

• Design and execute manual test cases, ensuring full coverage of functional requirements.

• Participate in test planning, test design, and defect management.

• Analyze automation test results, report issues, and track them to closure.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure high-quality releases.

• Implement and maintain automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Maven/Gradle).

• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).

• Identify test scenarios suitable for automation and ensure maximum automation coverage.

• Work with APIs and perform API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured (preferred).

• Ensure adherence to QA standards, best practices, and process documentation.

Qualifications: Higher Education Diploma with 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
