Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Test Technician to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our cutting-edge products through rigorous testing and troubleshooting. Your expertise will contribute to the development of complex systems across manufacturing, construction, and industrial engineering sectors. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive testing of mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering components to verify performance against specifications
• Utilize CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks for interpreting and creating detailed schematics and 3D models for product design and system layout
• Perform root cause analysis on system failures or malfunctions to identify issues related to fabrication, maintenance, or design flaws
• Assist in system troubleshooting using programming languages such as C++, C, Python, and MATLAB to debug software and hardware interfaces
• Support manufacturing processes by managing project schedules, coordinating with fabrication teams, and ensuring adherence to lean manufacturing principles
• Collaborate with engineering teams practicing in industrial, mechanical, civil, electrical, or quantum engineering disciplines to optimize system design and performance
• Conduct technical assessments involving GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), schematics interpretation, and electrical/electronic troubleshooting techniques
• Manage software development teams’ testing activities for engineering product development initiatives
• Contribute to managing architecture or engineering teams by providing technical insights on system design and integration

Experience

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment with a focus on product testing or system troubleshooting
• Strong background in mechanical engineering principles combined with hands-on experience in fabrication and mechanical design processes
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks for 3D modeling and schematic creation
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, C++, C, MATLAB for automation and debugging tasks
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting techniques
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and root cause analysis methodologies to improve process efficiency
• Ability to practice in an industrial or construction setting with understanding of project scheduling and managing multiple priorities effectively
• Demonstrated skills in systems engineering concepts applied within product development cycles
• Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by expertise in GD&T standards for precision manufacturing
