Department of Finance invites applications for
Thesis Worker
beginning on September 15, 2025, or as per agreement at Aalto University Otaniemi in Espoo, Finland.
The position is at the Department of Finance, School of Business.
Description of the thesis project
The thesis will be a joint project between Aalto University and a bank. The project involves developing credit risk forecasting models based on current customer base and data. The aim of the project is to identify early signs of increasing credit risk.
Requirements
A suitable candidate majors in finance at Aalto University School of Business and is about to start writing master’s thesis. The thesis writing will be a full-time job and requires presence on campus and potentially at the bank’s premises.
The candidate has proven academic excellence, drive, and motivation to complete the thesis during fall 2025. Project management, quantitative, database, and capability/willingness to master data processing skills (including machine-learning for textual data) are also an imperative.
Salary
Salary is 2 434,71 € per month for three months. The position includes occupational healthcare.
