DAYTON LIVE, located in the heart of downtown Dayton, is one of the city’s premier, not-for-profit arts organizations and one of the largest real estate owner in downtown proper. We present more than 300 performances for all ages and interests each year, including touring Broadway, comedians, concerts, films, and family shows. We operate and maintain the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, Victoria Theatre, the PNC Arts Annex, and Metropolitan Arts Center (home of The Loft Theatre) for the benefit of the community and the arts organizations that use them. We also own and operate The Arts Garage.

Purpose:

As a Ticketing Agent, you are responsible for assisting patrons with all ticketing and customer service needs.

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)-Preferred

Experience in ticket office operations is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with Licensees, peers, leads, management, and the general public. Must conduct duties in a positive, professional manner and maintain customer service initiatives. Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personalities.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure that patrons are being serviced quickly, accurately, and politely.
  • Processing orders for all products offered by DAYTON LIVE including, but not limited to single tickets, season tickets, parking, and gift certificates.
  • Providing a high standard of customer service for all contact with the customer, whether it be by phone, in person, online, by mail, or by email.
  • Providing excellent accuracy, timeliness, dependability, and problem-solving skills with all customer service issues.
  • Correctly reconciling and accounting for daily sales transactions.
  • Must demonstrate excellent accuracy, timeliness, and dependability.
  • Must keep a professional appearance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge:

  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
