Description:
About the role:

• Loading, cleaning and preparing HDPE pipes to be welded
• Joining HDPE pipe sections in accordance to industry standards and certified welding techniques using McElroy Equipment (Dynamac, T412, T618, T900)
• Recording all welding information in Data Logger machines
• Examining welds for width of bead, and conformance to specifications
• Loading and transporting of weld equipment on a daily basis and preparation of equipment for different pipe sizes
• Use of a chainsaw for cutting pipe

Skills and Experiences:
About you:

• Demonstrated experience conducting tie-in/golden welds
• Experienced in Electro-fusion welding including fittings and saddles up to 800mm
• Previous CSG experience required
• Preferred experience in squeeze off and hot tap installation
• Gas tester MSMWHS217 competency
