Timber Yard Operative

We are looking for an organised and motivated individual who is happy to work off their own initiative. The most suitable candidate must be a self-starter and idealy have carpentry background or experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Serving trade and retail customers.
• Cutting and preparing timber orders.
• Loading and unloading customer vehicles and delivery trucks.
• Operating a forklift (or willingness to be trained).
• Keeping the yard clean, safe, and well organised.
• Assisting with stock control and goods in/out.
• Supporting the manufacture of timber products when required.

Ideal candidate:

• Previous experience in a timber yard, builders' merchant, warehouse, or similar role.
• Forklift licence or experience operating a forklift.
• Good customer service skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Experience manufacturing timber products would be an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €15.00-€16.00 per hour
