About the Position:

Walters is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable accounting/payroll professional to join our team for a 1-year contract with potential for permanent fulltime employment. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Time & Attendance Administrator will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Assisting with distribution of statements.
  • Assisting with collecting statements of accounts.
  • Data entry and setting up new hires for various different groups within the company.
  • Ensuring correct data and codes are assigned within Microsoft Dynamics GP.
  • Posting of weekly and bi-weekly timesheets to ensure smooth payroll processing.
  • Assisting with registering new hires into ADP Workforce Now.
  • Assisting with general inquiries for payroll and accounting related questions.

Work Location:

  • Head Office: Hamilton, ON.

Position Requirements:

  • 1-3 Years experience in accounting/payroll (Manufacturing industry experience a strong asset).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Skills and Competency Requirements:

  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communicator with strong analytical critical and creative thinking skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively as required
