O’Connell Quarries is currently recruiting a Tipper / Mixer Driver to join our team based in Ballycar, Ardnacrusha, Co. Clare.

We supply aggregates and ready-mix concrete to customers across the Mid-West region and are known for reliability, quality and strong customer service.

The Role

This is a full-time driving role involving the delivery of aggregates and ready-mix concrete to customers across the region. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring timely, safe and efficient deliveries.

You will report directly to the Operations Manager and work as part of a busy and well-coordinated transport team.

Key Responsibilities

· Delivery of aggregates and ready-mix concrete to customer sites

· Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time

· Checking loads before departure and overseeing safe loading/unloading

· Daily vehicle checks and reporting of any defects or maintenance issues

· Keeping accurate delivery records and paperwork

· Operating in full compliance with road traffic legislation and company procedures

· Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times

· Providing a professional and courteous service to customers

What We’re Looking For

· Full, clean HGV licence (appropriate category for tipper/mixer work)

· Valid CPC and Tacho Card

· Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations

· Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential)

· Reliable, punctual and able to work on own initiative

· Flexible approach to work, including early starts where required

· Good problem-solving skills when dealing with traffic, weather or site conditions

· Basic mechanical awareness of vehicles is an advantage

· Salary starting from €48,000, depending on experience

· Contract: Fixed-term contract initially, with probation period
