Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Tire & Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. This role involves performing tire services, oil changes, basic vehicle maintenance, and ensuring top-notch customer service. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and eager to grow within a busy automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities:Tire Services

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires (new and used)
• Inspect tires for wear patterns, damage, and pressure
• Install seasonal tire sets and perform torque specifications
• Assist with tire inventory organization and restocking

Lube Services

• Perform oil and filter changes on various vehicle makes/models
• Inspect and top off fluid levels (coolant, brake fluid, washer, transmission, etc.)
• Perform basic maintenance services (air filters, cabin filters, wiper blades)

General Vehicle Checks

• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections and document findings
• Inspect undercarriage, suspension, and brake components (visual check)
• Check battery condition, lights, and tire tread depth

Shop Maintenance & Support

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work bays and tools
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Assist technicians and service advisors as needed
• Dispose of used oil and tires properly according to shop protocols

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a tire or lube shop preferred (training provided)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs, operate tire machines, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of automotive systems and tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Punctual, dependable, and customer-focused attitude

Preferred Qualifications (Asset, but not required):

• Automotive Service Technician Level 1 experience
• Certification in WHMIS or other workplace safety training
• Forklift or hoist operation knowledge
