Tour Guide, Elizabeth Fort, Barrack St. Cork
We are currently recruiting a Tour Guide on a full time basis. The successfully candidate will be required to work 40hrs per week, days of work will vary and weekend work will be required. This is a front facing, busy and varied role. Duties and responsibilities will include –
· Ensure the site is opened each day in adherence with Health and Safety requirements
· Act as first point of contact for all visitors to the site
· Deliver tours throughout the day
· Ensure site is clean and well presented at times
· Assist in the organisation and roll out of special events outside of core opening hours
· Maintain and update social media platforms e.g facebook and twitter
· Work on ad-hoc projects as required
· Complete general office administration duties
The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
· Be a confident public speaker
· Ability to work well as part of a team
· Be customer focused
- Be a self starter who has the ability to act without instruction
· Have outstanding organisational and time management skills
· High level of competency in use of Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and management of Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter)
- Ability to speak second language desirable but not essential
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Work Location: In person
