Could you be our full time Traction Project Software Leader we're looking for in Västerås?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and leading expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to hiring manager Erik Simonson (Traction Control Site Manager, phone +46-702-32 10 80) and work alongside with a team of control engineers.
You'll lead a team control engineers traction control functionality, from initial requirements to released software for passenger service of order projects. In addition, it may also include standard control products applied in our traction and auxiliary systems. To perform this, you are expected to coordinate with other functions, both within traction and train level. You are responsible for quality, cost and timeline for the full traction control delivery. This will include:
- Synchronise and manage interfaces within and between traction and train level teams
- Manage traction control development planning while supporting the overall project plan
- Ensure commitment on milestones and manage critical paths
- Coordination with customer and leading train site to ensure project timline for train testing and comissioing
- Accountable for software deliveries and manage workload and budget as well as adherence to process
- Coordination with traction project engineering manager
- Organize and realize the traction control delivery through frequent team meetings
When certification through independent safety assessor is required:
Drive the audits with the ISA (Independant Safety Assessor)
Manage open item list
Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, such as control and system departments as well as with colleagues around the world. Thus, fostering an unpretentious cooperation with others is important.

- MSc in Computer Engineering , Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Robotics, or equivalent.
- Experience from software development and/or MBD.
- Leading software development teams and agile methods.
- Ability and interest in leading, developing and challenging the organization.to continiously improve.
- Knowledge of software safety and work with assessment bodies.
- Experience from rail applications is an advantage..
- Familiarity with applying agile methods for software development.
- Fluent in Swedish and English at a business level is essential for the job.
