The Opportunity
We’re scaling our delivery capability across Sydney and are looking for Trade Assistants (Electrical Workers Grades 1–4) to join us on a strong pipeline of major infrastructure projects.
You'll work on high-profile energy projects including major substation upgrades, data centre connection works, and critical network infrastructure projects that are helping power Australia's future.
Working within a Tier 1 EPC environment, you'll be part of a collaborative site team delivering both brownfield and greenfield projects for key clients across the energy sector. You'll support experienced electricians and construction crews while gaining exposure to complex high-voltage environments and some of the industry's most significant energy infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist electricians and site crews with the installation of electrical and substation infrastructure
- Support cable installation, conduit installation, cable support systems, and equipment positioning
- Undertake general labouring and construction activities across active project sites
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Collaborate with supervisors, electricians, and broader project teams to achieve project outcomes
- Contribute to a positive team culture and maintain CPP's high safety standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Essential: Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Electrical Worker, Construction Labourer, or similar site-based role
- Construction White Card (essential)
- Current Driver's Licence (essential)
- High Risk Work Licences, EWP, Dogging, Rigging, Forklift, or other tickets
- Experience working on construction, industrial, utilities, infrastructure, or energy projects is highly regarded
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments
- Willingness to travel and work on regional projects where required
- Experience delivering projects for TransGrid
- Proven experience in substation construction, including installation of high voltage equipment and systems
- High Risk Work Licences WP, C2, DG
