About the role
It is the responsibility of the Processing Line Team to make ready and run parts for the chemical processing line. Employed as a Trades Assistant, you will join a dynamic and skilled team that runs and maintains the largest metal finishing chemical processing line in the Southern hemisphere.
Key accountabilities include:
Picking and preparing parts in accordance with job pack requirements
Racking and de-racking of parts
Paint stripping using media blast and chemical stripping
Cleaning and inspecting aerospace components
Recording and maintaining details of work undertaken
Maintaining factory workshop and ensuring it is clean and tidy
This is an entry-level role and extensive training will be provided to the right applicant, but any previous relevant experience will be highly regarded. To thrive in this role you require two key attributes: attention to detail and manual dexterity. The Processing Line Team is made up of people from all walks of life and from widely varied work histories. While we are interested in what you have done and the skills you bring, we are more invested in your work ethic and potential.

Foundation level computer literacy
In addition to the above, the following are highly regarded:
Experience reading engineering drawings
Previous experience in a factory environment [not essential]
Additional Requirements:
Due to the nature of our work and the requirements of our customers, applicants must meet ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and/or EAR (Export Administration Regulations) compliance as part of employment eligibility.
Successful applicants will also be required to undergo a current police check and participate in random drug and alcohol screening as part of our commitment to safety and security.
