An exciting opportunity is available for a Driver Trainer to join our WA Training team, supporting operations at our Kalgoorlie Terminal.

What You’ll Do

Train, assess and mentor train drivers to ensure safe, compliant and capable rail operations.

Reporting to the Superintendent Training, you will:

  • Plan, prioritise and deliver compliant technical driver training
  • Train, assess and mentor train crew to meet Rail Safety Worker competency requirements
  • Develop and manage individual training plans aligned to operational needs
  • Ensure competencies, assessments, currency and records are completed on time
  • Work closely with Operational Leaders and Training Specialists to ensure consistent outcomes
  • Promote a strong safety culture and knowledge-sharing environment

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Mainline or Mentor Driver (currently accredited)
  • Strong track record of safe locomotive operations
  • Current Cert IV in Train Driving
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) – or willingness to obtain
  • Strong commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement
  • Ability to coach, assess and mentor others effectively
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office and training/compliance systems)
  • Clear and confident communication skills at all levels
