Trained Caregiver Needed

Searching for a trained caregiver to lend a helping hand to a member of the community

Community Horizons is passionately supporting the search for a private caregiver to join a loving in-home care team. In this fulfilling role, you will provide vital support and hands-on assistance with personal care and housekeeping tasks. Your efforts will play a crucial role in helping this community member maintain their cherished independence at home.

This position is part of the self-direction program, which means you'll work directly for the individuals who need your support. This arrangement not only offers greater flexibility and control over your schedule but also fosters a more personal and meaningful working relationship, as the member will hire you directly, bypassing the agency.

Schedule:

Tuesdays and Wednesdays 3 pm - 11 pm

Every other Friday 3 pm- 11 pm, Saturday 7 am - 3 pm, Sunday 3 pm- 11 pm

Pay: $16.00/Hour

Tasks:

- Assist with catheter care

- Support with G-tube feeding

- Offer transportation and enjoyable companionship for outings

- Help with the use of a sling lift

- Provide daily personal care, including showering, shaving, dressing, and oral hygiene

- Distribute medications as needed

What it takes:

- Have a CNA license or at least 2 years of caregiving experience

- Successfully pass a background check

- Hold a valid driver's license

Community Horizons offers support for individuals enrolled in self-directed programs through Managed Care Organizations or IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) throughout Wisconsin. Self-direction gives program participants the choice over who provides services and how they receive them. Community Horizons is not the employer on record; members make all hiring decisions with the involvement of a third-party fiscal agent responsible for payroll.
