We are thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Trainee Blasting Assistant – Mining & Quarrying to join our team in Drury, Auckland working on 5 days on 2 days off roster. As a global market leader and pioneers in advanced blasting technologies, Orica is dedicated to transforming the mining sector.

In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering a high-quality service of bulk explosive delivery to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and environmentally conscious execution of blasting operations. Working closely with the Shotfirer or On Bench Supervisor/s on site, you will perform tasks as directed, including loading, tying, and firing blasts.

This role can be physically demanding and is mostly based outdoors. Overnighter stays are sometimes required. We are seeking applicants that reside in the Auckland or Waikato region.
