Trainee Bus Driver

We are McGill’s and we and we are recruiting for Trainee PCV Drivers to join our growing and developing teams in Inchinnan, Johnstone and Greenock.

Do you have a driving licence with at least one years’ experience then this is a fantastic opportunity to try your hand at something new! We have a dedicated in-house Training Academy that will be with you every step of the way as you become a qualified PCV Driver. This includes robust training on all theory and practical modules. Our Training Academy is based in Johnstone meaning you can fully focus on your training, and you won’t have far to travel. We are a great believer in flexibility, and we have full and part time positions available across the wider variety of shift patterns. Sound interesting? Then we have a place for you!

What will you do?

· Transport passengers safely and on time to their destinations

· Drive our state-of -the- art vehicles in a safe and considerate manner

· Assist customers providing a first-class service

· Maintain a very high standard of customers care and service presentation

What can you bring us?

· A current and valid UK car licence for at least 6 months

· Excellent verbal communication skills with a courteous and helpful attitude giving a 5- star service to our passengers

· A flexible approach to work

· Excellent numeracy skills

What we will offer you in return:

· Full and part time options available including 4 and 5 day working weeks

· An excellent hourly rate of £14.25 on weekdays before 9pm, rising to £14.75 after 9pm, this then rises to £15.00 for all day Sunday.

· Holiday allowance 28 days holiday for 0-2 years of service, increasing with tenure
