Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Trainee Pharmacist / Pharmacist Intern to join our pharmacy team. This role is suitable for pharmacy graduates at various stages of their professional journey, including those completing PSI Intern Training and international pharmacy graduates adapting or registering their degree in Ireland.

We are happy to support international candidates who require a PSI-approved training placement as part of the Adaptation or Registration process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of the Supervising Pharmacist in accordance with Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) standards and guidelines
  • Participate in the safe, accurate, and legal supply of medicines
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the dispensary with a strong focus on patient safety, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Provide appropriate advice to patients on non-prescription (OTC) medicines, including correct use, dosage, contraindications, and potential side effects, in line with PSI guidance
  • Assist with efficient dispensary workflow while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance
  • Support stock management activities, including ordering, stock rotation, and storage, in line with regulatory and best practice standards
  • Respond to patient and customer queries in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, pharmacy SOPs, and PSI policies and procedures
  • Actively engage in learning, training, and competency development as required for professional registration

Requirements

  • Pharmacy degree (Irish or international)
  • Currently enrolled in the PSI Intern Training Programme or in the process of PSI Adaptation / Registration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English required
  • Professional, reliable, and motivated attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Legal right to work in Ireland
