The NextGen Traineeship in a nutshell
Diverse Rotations: Engage in 2-3 rotations of 6-12 months across various departments of your choice which you arranged by networking with the business. Each placement is tailored to broaden your skill set and deepen your industry knowledge- Comprehensive Training: Benefit from a structured training program that cover essential behaviour and technical skills in asset management
- Capstone Projects: Work on real-world projects that will challenge you and enhance your practical investment skills with your peers.
- Mentorship and Support: Receive guidance from experienced professionals who are dedicated to your growth and success
Finance Team
As a junior business analyst, you would be engaged and involved in the following activities:
- Learn about the professional practices and standards expected of finance professional
- Report on financial performance of the different business units and investment capabilities that are managed across Aegon AM
- Learn about the value drivers of our investment capabilities and how our investment teams drive the growth of Aegon AM
- Participate in the budgeting and planning process to support management to transform the growth profile of our business
- Develop and use your financial analytical skills to better understand the dynamic financial performance of our businesses and support strategic decision making
- Preparing materials that report on financial progress made by the business units to Aegon AM’s various committees, boards and other stakeholders
- Participate in networking opportunities to collaborate, develop additional skills, connect and build your professional network both with other graduates but also with colleagues across Aegon AM and the rest of Aegon Ltd.
Company Overview:
This would be your position because you:
- Are (almost) graduated from a master’s degree in a relevant subject to the financial industry or similar
- Have demonstrated affinity with Investments, Finance, Audit and/ or Client Relations and want to pursue a career in this area (e.g. through internships)
- Takes initiative, are adaptable to different environments, eager to develop and enjoys building relationships and work with colleagues across different geographies
- Have an analytical mindset
- Good level of spoken and written English, as you will be working in an international environment

What will you be getting?
- Base salary of €3.221,23 based on a 40-hour work week
- 13th month and holiday allowance are paid on top of your monthly salary
- 28 vacation days for a fulltime working week
- You will be located at our head office at Schiphol
