This role is ideal for Early Childhood leaders who want to use their experience to develop the next generation of educators. You’ll step into a supported pathway into the VET sector, with your TAE fully funded, structured mentoring from day one, and clear options to move into a full-time trainer role over time.
About the Role
Join our team as a VET Trainer & Assessor delivering CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, with future opportunity to deliver CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. This is a 3-day/week role — with a full-time option across Kardinia and Kingston — working with cohorts of 10–15 learners in a supported, structured environment. You'll work closely with a Community Program Coordinator and be backed by a team of experienced trainers. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with genuine potential for ongoing employment.
Duties
Deliver face-to-face classroom training to groups of 10–15 ECEC learners
Facilitate competency-based assessment in workplace and simulated environments
Support learners to build practical skills aligned to national training packages
Collaborate with Program Coordinators to drive learner success and retention
Contribute to continuous improvement of training delivery and assessment practices
Skills & Experience
CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher) — essential
Strong recent industry experience (for example, Lead Educator, Educational Leader or Centre Manager)
Current Working With Children Check
Reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment — desirable, not required (we provide full support and funding to gain this qualification)
Confident communicator with a passion for mentoring and developing others

Pro-rata salary plus travel allowance, with travel to Kingston or Kardinia required approximately one day per week.
