About the Team

The Human Resources team provides support and guidance across our National and International footprint in the areas of Payroll, Safety, Organisational & Workforce Development, Veterans Engagement, Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Global Mobility, Health and Wellbeing, Diversity and Inclusion, Administration and IR/ER.

About the Role

The Training & Capability Manager leads the design, delivery and administration of all internal training activity across the organisation. This role owns the mandatory training framework, drives learning evaluation, and ensures the capability journey from new starter through to verified competency is coherent, well-governed and fit for a complex operational environment.

You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify skills gaps, embed best-practice learning solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development across the organisation.

You are accountable for what gets built, how it gets delivered, and whether it actually changes performance on the ground.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Previous proven experience in a similar role;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Training/Organisational Development or related discipline;
  • Working knowledge of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), including AQF for Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s);
  • Successes in managing apprenticeship/traineeship and learning programs;
  • Proven Leadership capabilities;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative; and
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
