Role Overview
A Trainer is responsible for equipping Infigon’s career counsellors with the practical counselling skills, client-handling techniques, and business-building know-how they need to grow their own career counselling business. The role combines curriculum design, hands-on training delivery, and long-term mentorship to support counsellors at every stage of that journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide product training to counsellors before they begin independent client-facing work.
- Design, upgrade, and adapt training modules covering practical career counselling techniques, client-handling skills, and study abroad counselling practices.
- Train counsellors on the business side of the role — client acquisition, relationship management, and growing their own counselling practice.
- Conduct online training sessions that are experiential, interactive, and real-world oriented.
- Run role-play sessions, case-based learning, and mock counselling scenarios to assess trainee performance and offer detailed feedback.
- Conduct exams and interviews for counsellors who have successfully completed the training program, as part of certification.
- Support career counsellors even post-certification through structured handholding, mentorship, and query resolution.
- Conduct counselling sessions for students and working professionals online as required.
- Assist in evolving new training tools, reports, and frameworks based on industry trends and counsellor feedback.
- Support the onboarding process for new counsellors joining the team.
Key Skills
- Strong understanding of career counselling practices and client-handling techniques.
- Basic business acumen — understanding of client acquisition, relationship management, or practice growth.
- Excellent facilitation, teaching, and mentoring skills.
- Strong inclination toward research, innovation, and learner-centric design.
- Experience in teaching, training, or facilitation (internship or full-time).
- Basic understanding of study abroad processes and documentation.
- Working understanding of psychometric tests and how they are used in career counselling.
- Understanding of the psychology that shapes student career decisions, and the ability to train counsellors on applying it.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in any discipline; prior experience in career counselling, psychology, or business mentorship preferred.

- Prior exposure to Learning & Development roles or instructional design.
- Willingness to adapt and work in a dynamic, startup culture.
