The Role

We are seeking an experienced Training & Development Lead to join our growing team. In this role, you will assume a leading role in the development and delivery of programmes which ensure we can deliver a world-class support service for our customers around the globe, and provide our people internally with the opportunity to learn, grow, and drive our continued success!


Your days will be autonomous, varied, and dynamic, however, there will be a high degree of emphasis on identifying training needs, planning training/learning outcomes, content creation, validation with stakeholders, editing, and LMS/content management.

The ideal candidate will be an adult learning expert and a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for excellence in customer service. Candidates from instructional design, technical/service training, and learning & development specialist backgrounds will likely be a good fit for this role – and we’d love to hear from you!


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full training content delivery cycle, from assessing training needs, planning, creation and validation
  • Responsible for content development/updates as and when major releases of services arise
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop workshops to improve trainees' knowledge of the service/software products, and business change initiatives
  • Design training strategies for technical teams, both hard and soft-skills, across all the functions within technology
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and produce achievement badges and certification programmes
  • Be part of the creative development cycle to improve training materials
  • Review measurement tools, metrics and feedback to gauge the effectiveness of training
  • Develop KPI’s and produce standard and ad-hoc training reports as needed
  • Identify trends and areas of development opportunity to drive continuous improvement
  • Deliver/facilitate courses and programmes using suitable approaches such as eLearning, virtual/online training, webinars, or classroom-based sessions
  • Display proactive & regular alignment and communication with main internal stakeholders
  • Be a visible leader, content contributor, and advocate for L&D at our annual event “Origina Week”
  • Keep up to date with new learning approaches and technologies, and educating the business

About you

  • 5+ years of training/L&D experience preferably gained within a high growth, technology company
  • Be able to submit a portfolio of training work to support your application
  • Strong project management and proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple learning programmes with various levels of complexity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate and influence across a variety of media, and variety of technical & non-technical stakeholders
  • A reasonable understanding of tech/software lingo
  • Experience in any L&D framework an advantage (such as ISO), and adult learning principles
  • Highly productive with the ability and resilience to work in an ambiguous, dynamic environment
  • Goal and achievement oriented with a strong drive for high-performance and success
  • Creative, highly organised, and great attention to detail
  • Self-starter able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Experience of LMS and e-learning platforms (such as ‘Articulate’, ‘Zensai’ (formerly LMS365), ‘Canva’)
  • Proven experience in developing learning programmes & solutions to match business needs, particularly relating to service delivery, change initiatives, and internal skills-based training
  • High levels of emotional intelligence, energy, and confidence
  • Passionate about unlocking people’s full potential
  • Experience working with internationally distributed teams (US experience an advantage)
