Job Description: Transport Supervisor (Outreach & Operations)

We are seeking a Smart, Energetic, and Result-Oriented Transport Supervisor to lead our school’s transportation department. This role is unique; it combines operational oversight with a strong focus on community engagement and service promotion.

The ideal candidate will be the "face" of our transport system, bridging the gap between the school’s logistics and the parents' peace of mind.

Key Responsibilities

1. Service Promotion & Parent Enrollment (Primary Focus)

You are responsible for increasing the footprint of our school bus service. You won't just manage routes; you will "sell" the safety and convenience of our transport to parents. This involves:

• Highlighting Safety Protocols: Explaining our GPS tracking, attendants, and speed governors to hesitant parents. keeping the track of oil expenses, vehicle maintenance and timely servicing.
• Cost-Benefit Analysis: Helping parents understand how the school bus is more economical and reliable than private vans or carpooling. Must have own bike/ scooter
• Age group-30-35
• Having route knowledge of Howrah and Hooghly
• Building Trust: Addressing specific parental concerns regarding pick-up points, timing, and student supervision.
• Door-to-Door Outreach: Actively visiting the homes of new and existing admissions to explain the benefits of the school's official transport system.

2. Parent Relations & Field Visits

• Home Visits: You are required to travel to various neighborhoods to meet parents personally, verify addresses for route planning, and resolve grievances.
• Feedback Collection: Periodically meeting parents to gather feedback on driver behavior and bus punctuality.

3. Operational Management

• Supervising drivers and helpers to ensure discipline and timely arrivals.
• Ensuring all vehicles are maintained and compliant with safety regulations.
• Optimizing routes to reduce travel time for students.

Promoting the Service: Why This Matters

As a Transport Supervisor, your goal is to convince parents that the school bus is the best choice for their child. You will explain:

• Safety First: Unlike private vehicles, our buses undergo rigorous fitness checks and are driven by verified professionals.
• Social Integration: The bus is where "the school day begins." It’s a space for students to socialize with peers in a supervised environment.
• Environmentally Friendly: Highlighting that one school bus replaces approximately 20 private cars, reducing the school’s carbon footprint.
• Punctuality: Ensuring parents know that the school bus guarantees the student will never be late for morning assembly.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
