Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Supervisor to oversee our transportation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of goods while managing a team of drivers and logistics personnel. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of transportation regulations and best practices.

Duties

  • Supervise daily transportation operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of drivers, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure that all vehicles are in safe operating condition.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including logs, reports, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Address any issues or concerns related to transportation operations promptly.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and make all necessary repairs
  • Must be able to drive to pickup and deliver loads when needed.
  • Communicate via company cell phone Monday-Friday.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Class A CDL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,628.60 - $64,584.98 per year
