Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Supervisor to oversee our transportation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of goods while managing a team of drivers and logistics personnel. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of transportation regulations and best practices.
Duties
- Supervise daily transportation operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of drivers, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure that all vehicles are in safe operating condition.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including logs, reports, and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Address any issues or concerns related to transportation operations promptly.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and make all necessary repairs
- Must be able to drive to pickup and deliver loads when needed.
- Communicate via company cell phone Monday-Friday.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Class A CDL.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.

Pay: $53,628.60 - $64,584.98 per year
