Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a mixed-acuity PCU/MS Tele unit at Saint Lawrence – Canton-Potsdam Hospital. This role is ideal for nurses with strong cardiac and stepdown experience looking for a stable night assignment.

Compensation & Benefits

• $2,500 Weekly Gross
• Overtime & holiday pay available
• First-time travelers accepted
• Full clinical and recruiter support throughout the assignment

Unit Details

• Mixed acuity: PCU, MS Tele, Stepdown
• Patient ratios (Nights): 1:5–7 (acuity based)
• Floating required to sister units (West 2, West 3, Observation)
• Charting system: Epic (REQUIRED)

Requirements

• Active NY RN License (in hand)
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• PCU / IMC experience within the last 3 years (REQUIRED)
• Epic charting experience
• Certifications:
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• PALS (Preferred)
• Must live 50+ miles from facility (travel role)

Key Skills

• Telemetry & cardiac monitoring
• Interpretation & management of dysrhythmias
• IV insulin & cardiac drips
• Post-MI, CVA, seizure disorders
• Vent care, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC
• Chest tubes, wound vacs, central lines
• Rapid response/code team experience

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $2,400.00 - $2,500.00 per week
