Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Radiation Oncology

Job Summary:

As a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Radiation Oncology, you will provide critical care to patients undergoing radiation therapy for cancer treatment. You will work closely with oncologists and radiation therapists to ensure each patient receives the highest quality care and support throughout their treatment process.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians.

2. Monitor patients for side effects and complications during treatment.

3. Educate patients and their families on the effects of radiation therapy and how to manage symptoms.

4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

5. Maintain accurate patient records and provide detailed reports to healthcare providers.

6. Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and procedures.

7. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout their treatment journey.

8. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in radiation oncology technologies and treatments.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.

2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

3. Certification in Oncology Nursing (ONC) preferred.

4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiation Oncology nursing.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

7. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

8. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
