We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Tree Surgeons / Arborists who can perform a wide range of tree care, maintenance, and removal tasks. Ideal candidates will also have experience in petrol-engine mechanics, particularly for maintaining and troubleshooting small machinery such as chainsaws, strimmers, hedge trimmers, and stump grinders.

This role involves both technical tree work and equipment maintenance, suitable for individuals who enjoy hands-on outdoor work and have strong mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

Tree Care & Arborist Duties

Perform pruning, trimming, thinning, and shaping using professional techniques

Conduct tree removal, sectional dismantling, and felling as required

Diagnose tree health issues (pests, diseases, structural problems)

Operate chainsaws, climbing gear, rigging systems, chippers, and stump grinders

Safely climb trees using ropes and harnesses

Clear debris and ensure a safe work environment

Assess job sites for hazards and follow strict safety procedures

Petro-Mechanics / Equipment Maintenance

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair petrol-powered tools and machinery

Conduct routine maintenance: cleaning, sharpening, lubrication, filter changes, fuel mix, etc.

Identify mechanical issues in chainsaws, trimmers, and similar equipment

Keep all equipment safe, functional, and well-maintained

Maintain maintenance and repair logs

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience as a Tree Surgeon / Arborist

Arboriculture certification (preferred, not required)

Strong climbing and rigging skills

Experience operating tree-care machinery

Knowledge of tree species and diseases

Experience in petrol-engine repair and maintenance

Physically fit for outdoor manual work

Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Valid driver’s license (towing or heavy vehicle endorsement an advantage)

Additional Requirements (if applicable)

First Aid / Emergency Response Training

Power Saw Certification

Mechanical trade background is a strong advantage
