Truck And Trailer Sales Representative

Job Purpose

At Lilley International, we have been proudly serving the needs of farmers and truck operators in North Carolina and southern Virginia for over 70 years. Our customer base, footprint, and product portfolio have grown significantly, so we are seeking to add a sales representative to work out of our Rocky Mount, NC location. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build credibility within our sales department and broader organization by demonstrating an understanding of the business strategy and supporting the company in achieving success.
  • Demonstrates a high commitment to customer-focused service and delivery in all work, with effective internal and external communication.
  • Develops relationships with prospective customers and assigned accounts within assigned territory through all pertinent channels: in-person visits, telephone calls, and written communication.
  • Identifies prospective customers and develops appropriate strategy to build relationships accordingly.
  • Supports customers from early education conversations through ordering, delivery, and ongoing after sales support.
  • Demonstrates new and used trucks and equipment to customers with complete product knowledge and guidance.
  • Provides service to all walk-in and call-in customers on assigned floor days.
  • Utilizes CRM system for sales call reports, opportunities, quoting, and inventory management.
  • Reads updated information on product portfolio, vendors, legislation, truck market data, and internal Lilley initiatives.
  • Coordinates efforts with outside parts and service personnel to achieve customer satisfaction for the whole team.
  • Adheres to standard operating procedures regarding accurate sales orders, customer deposits, deal jackets, DMV paperwork, warranties, and extended service contracts.
  • Participates in team sales and training meetings.
  • Studies truck and equipment specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application continually.
  • Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the sale of new and used medium-and heavy-duty vehicles.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability to be a collaborative and contributing member of a team

Working Conditions

The assignment will require occasional evening and weekend work, regular visits to customer locations, and working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

The assignment may occasionally require repetitive physical tasks (such as operating a computer), standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, extended time travelling in a vehicle, and carrying equipment and materials up to 15 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $37,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Evenings as needed
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
