Truck Driver

Accurate Movers is an efficient and reliable transportation and logistics service across the region. We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Truck Driver to join our team, who will be responsible for the following duties:

The primary place of work is Auckland. However, you may also be required to travel to nearby regions as part of the job duties (The company will look after fuel and accommodation costs).

· Drive and operate truck

· Comply with NZ driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

· Supervise and help with loading the truck with furniture.

· Check the condition of the load and that it is secure

· Keep records of, and check invoices for, goods they carry-

· Plan the best delivery route

· Make deliveries or pick up goods

· Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts

· Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business

· Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public

· Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately

· Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving to supervisors

· Maintain vehicle equipment; clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed.

· Keep the interior of the vehicle clean of debris and clutter

· Comply with the company’s health and safety policy at all times.

The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $28 to $32 per hour.

Other important requirements:

· Must have a valid full Truck Driver's license.

· Relevant work experience is preferred.

· Must be able to drive Manual and Automatic Transmission Trucks.

· Loading and unloading heavy furniture items.

· Physically fit to be able to load and unload truck manually.

· Available to start the work early and work on the weekends.

· Must pass drug and alcohol tests.

· Must have a clean driving record.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

· Self-motivated and hardworking individual.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
