We are seeking two reliable candidates holding class 5 Truck Driver license to join our dynamic linehaul floating team. The successful candidates will be responsible for driving truck across the nation and delivering goods while ensuring timely deliveries and adhering to all safety and compliance regulations. The unit is based in Christchurch, but it is a floating driving job, so you should be ok to stay away from home.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and drive trucks with compliance to legal and safety standards.
• Comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of load.
• Positioning vehicles for smooth loading & unloading.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel use, and log out book.
• Communicate effectively with team members, customers and dispatchers regarding schedules and delivery updates.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues to the management.
• Stay up-to-date with industry rules, regulations and safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Valid New Zealand Truck Driving License - Class 5 and clean driving record;
• or Valid overseas driving license equivalent to Class - 5 in New Zealand; and willing to change to New Zealand driving license.
• Either 1 year work experience or at least Level 3 qualification is required.
• Pre-employment Drug Test required.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks.
• Good communication skills and professionalism.
• Familiar with GPS devices and navigation tools

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Afternoon shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Night shift
