Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) Driver

Alliance Traffic Control – GTA

Alliance Traffic Control is hiring experienced and safety-focused TMA Drivers to support lane closures, rolling slowdowns, and roadway work zone operations across the GTA.

Job Summary

TMA Drivers operate barrel and attenuator trucks (30’–40’) to protect crews and the public during highway and roadway projects. This role includes assisting with setup and teardown of lane closures, signage, cones, and barricades while maintaining constant awareness of traffic conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a TMA truck in active work zones
• Position vehicle to protect crews and equipment
• Assist with traffic control setup and removal
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections (circle checks)
• Complete driving logs and safety documentation
• Follow OTM Book 7 traffic control plans
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew
• Follow all company health and safety policies

Requirements

• Valid DZ or above license with clean abstract
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience
• OTM Book 7 certification considered an asset
• Knowledge of GTA roadways
• Ability to operate trucks
• Strong communication skills
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Available for days, nights, weekends, and extended shifts
• Must be reachable by phone/text for scheduling
