Job Title: Trust Clerk

JOB SUMMARY: Performs various activities related to the daily processing and administration of trust accounts. May balance reports, handle disbursements, and maintain documents and records in the appropriate trust and custody files.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Answer phones and handle correspondence.
- Balance accounts and statements as assigned.
- Document trust transfers and disbursements.
- Assist Trust Department staff as needed.
- Complete transaction tickets for each department transaction
- Check writing.
- Posting of daily work
- Assist in preparation of materials for department meetings.
- Filing and file maintenance
- Assisting customers
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Run errands as needed (related to department and/or clients).
- Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping related field (preferred)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills: able to work well with a wide range of people.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong knowledge of general administrative duties (filing, data entry, typing, basic bookkeeping, etc.)
- Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.
- Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good follow through on projects and deliverables.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and ability to take initiative in development and completion of projects.
- Strong sense of customer service.
- Familiarity with pc applications (Word, Excel, Internet, and various other information systems).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:
- Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal office environment.
