Summary:

Exciting opportunity for Turbines Design in India to help shape the Defence business by supporting key programme milestones aligned with the Defence Combat strategy at Rolls-Royce India.

You will design innovative, high-performance Turbines, balancing product attributes to meet customer needs. Working with multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll use tools like PLM, CAD (NX), and DFMEA to deliver cost-effective solutions that consider the full product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate across engineering disciplines, including Verification, Manufacturing, and Services.
• Ensure design solutions are resilient to the operating environment.
• Apply systems engineering, robust design, optimization, integration, and innovative tools and processes to develop solutions.
• Define mechanical and functional systems, sub-systems, and components to meet customer requirements; address validation issues and support in-service operations.
• Take technical responsibility for solutions throughout the technical approval process.

Qualifications:

• 3-15 years of experience with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering; other qualifications with relevant experience may be considered.
• Strong understanding of hot end Gas Turbine Engine design processes and methods.
• Proficient with digital design tools for 3D parametric modeling, analysis, and design automation.
• Experience in Robust Design, Design for Manufacture (DfM), and Systems Engineering is advantageous.
• Highly numerate with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
