GCL Diesel is currently hiring for the role of a turbocharger rebuilder. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tearing down, cleaning, and repairing turbochargers. You will ensure that all repairs meet industry standards and perform thorough quality checks throughout the process. Turbocharging knowledge is an asset but not required as we do all our training in house.

Duties:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair faulty turbochargers.
  • Disassemble turbochargers, assess wear and damage and determine necessary repairs or replacement parts needed.
  • Work with service advisors/coordinator to provide estimates with a bill of materials.
  • Rebuild and reassemble turbochargers, ensuring all components are clean, and in working order.
  • Operate cleaning equipment including: shot-blaster, lathe, grinder and acetylene.
  • Applicant will be working in a team environment alongside parts / service advisors, and other rebuilders.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and equipped with proper tools and equipment. (Tooling is provided by GCL Diesel, but you may supply your own tools if you wish)

  • Punctual.
  • Professional.
  • Able to lift upwards of 80lbs
  • Able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Comfortable working in an environment that may involve exposure to noise, heat, and mechanical and chemical hazards.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Hygienic.
  • Technical aptitude (training available in-house).
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with others.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)
