Team/Role Overview

The UK Cluster Tax Head is a senior level role managing a team of professionals located in London and Warsaw responsible for income tax reporting and compliance for Citi’s UK legal entities. The role reports to Citi’s Head of International Tax. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with colleagues across the globe to ensure International Tax meeting its objectives and reporting requirements.

What you’ll do:

• Management of the UK income tax compliance cycle including but not limited to tax return review and timely submission, claims and elections, group matters, Corporate Interest Restriction, and tax payments.
• Management of relationship with HMRC on UK income tax matters.
• Management and review of transfer pricing documentation.
• Management of the UK Bank Levy compliance and financial reporting.
• Management of financial reporting for income taxes for local GAAP, US GAAP, and management reporting purposes.
• Support UK Cluster Management as required.
• Management of Pillar 2 reporting obligations in the UK.
• Timely escalation of tax reporting risks.
• Ensure appropriate substantiation of income tax balances.
• Management of income tax related disclosures required for statutory accounts and audited financial statements.
• Monitor UK tax technical and legislative developments and advise the business accordingly.
• Management of a team of six professional across London and Warsaw.
• Ensure compliance with risk and control standards and internal policies.
• Management of third-party engagements supporting compliance and planning matters.

What we’ll need from you:

• Extensive professional experience.
• UK corporate income tax experience in a financial services company.
• Proficient in US and UK GAAP accounting for income taxes.
• Experience managing relations with tax authorities and external auditors.
• Senior Stakeholder Management experience.
• Experience managing a team.
