Ultrasound Sonographer

Accurate Imaging Diagnostics Clinic is recruiting an experienced certified Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience to conduct different types of ultrasound procedures (AB, OB/GYN, BR, MSK, etc) and be comfortable working flexible hours.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation is correct before a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality by complying with PHIPA;
• Greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner, explaining forthcoming tests;
• Ensuring all quality control assessments are performed as required and that equipment will provide a qualitative image;
• Perform only diagnostic imaging procedures for those areas that you have knowledge, skills and judgment to perform effectively, safely and ethically.
• Proven interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff, as well as problem-solving abilities;
• Operating Safety and sanitary procedures after each test on the equipment;
• Demonstrate good perception, motivation, judgment and concern for detail and accuracy;

Required Qualifications:

• Active membership in Sonography Canada with the following credentials: Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer and/or ARDMS (AB, OB/GYN, BR, MSKS) or CARDUP.
• Competence in performing the following types of Ultrasound examinations: AB, OB/GYN, BR, MSKS, IPS
