Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to oversee activity across the premises and identify potential security threats.
• Control access points by verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to detect suspicious activity, ensure safety protocols are followed, and prevent loss or damage.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by following established procedures, including providing first aid or CPR if necessary.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during critical situations to facilitate swift resolution.
• Enforce security policies related to loss prevention, conflict management, and facility rules with professionalism and courtesy.

Requirements

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain these certifications is a plus.
• Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and experience in loss prevention strategies.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly and effectively.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods; alertness is essential.
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
