Position Overview

Conducts and processes all clerical tasks related to the patient’s period of hospitalization within the unit/ program area in collaboration with the patient care team members.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as Unit Clerk.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Microsoft office (excel, word, etc.).
  • Electronic Kidney Health Record and Electronic Patient Record experience preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade 12, minimum.
  • Completion of a recognized Unit Clerk course required.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

Qualifications and Skills

  • Written and verbal command of the English Language essential.
  • Good communication skills essential.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships within a team environment essential.
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple tasks.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
