The role

Reporting to the Dublin & London underwriters, the role presents an exciting opportunity to work across multiple specialty insurances lines of business providing underwriting and administrative support to the Underwriting team based in Dublin.

Scholarship details

Risk and Insurance Scholarship

Five scholarships are available to 2nd Year Students who have picked Risk and Insurance as their Major for a three-year scholarship period OR/And 3rd Year Students who are studying Risk and Insurance as their Major with option to support them at Master Level in Risk and Insurance if desired. Scholarship period to range from two-three years depending on when the student commences the Scholarship. Support up to master’s level will be considered at the company’s discretion but is not a requirement.

Bachelor of Business Studies or Bachelor of Arts in International Business) inclusive of all Language Strands

One scholarship is available to all 1st Year Student Bachelor of Business Studies or Bachelor of Arts in International Business Students inclusive of all Language/Major strands. The period of the scholarship is four years.

Computer Systems Scholarship

Two scholarships are available to 2nd Year Students who have picked Computer Systems OR/And 3rd Year Students who are studying Computer Science.

Scholarship period to range from 2 -3 years depending on when the student commences the Scholarship. (Application open to all IT Students including Computer Games Development; Cyber Security & IT Forensics here but Computer Systems steam would be preference)

Scholarship Benefits

  • Successful applicants will be awarded €5,000 per annum (€2500 per Semester)
  • Scholars will be eligible to do a summer internship(s) and complete their Coop Internship with Fidelis. (Subject to Agreement with Co-op Faculty Offices)
  • Scholars to receive ongoing mentorship and support from Industry experts and UL Alumni

Scholarship terms & conditions


  • The scholarship is open to Students from the Hear Access Scheme or SUSI Grant scheme (Maintenance Band 1 – 4) enrolled in the above applicable courses
  • Students must maintain academic grades at 2.1-degree level or higher to continue to receive their scholarship payment and benefits. (Subject to Fidelis/UL discretion)
  • Students to be shortlisted and interviewed via Fidelis/UL panel.
  • Preference will be given to students who are not in receipt of any other scholarship.
