Ups/Fedex Shipping Specialist

Position Summary:

All candidates must be able to ship customer orders in excess of 250 lbs. via UPS, FedEx or any other small shipper utilized. Have working knowledge of barcoding labels and systems. Pull, pack, and process customer orders for shipment via freight. Process orders via customers' routing guides. Replenish stock as inventories are decreased. Assist in other areas of Shipping and/or Production on an as-needed basis. Load and unload trucks to put away finished product and raw materials.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Pulls, packs and process orders from inventory.
  • Pulls, packs and process order via Customers' Routing Guides.
  • Performs detailed distribution related activities as assigned.
  • Fills small to midsize customer orders of 250 lbs. or less, as well as Freight orders as needed.
  • Ships orders out via UPS , FedEx, or Freight.
  • Pulls orders from inventory per C-Line procedures and processes.
  • Load and unload carries and containers.
  • Put away material (finish goods or raw materials)
  • Restock primary bins.
  • Ability to cross-train into other areas of Production.

Qualifications

  • Proficient knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and other web-based programs with a minimum of 1 year proven technical ability to include reporting, troubleshooting, processing and analyzing.
  • Must be able to pull, pack and process larger freight orders daily, or as needed.
  • Forklift experience. Safely drive and operate forklift.
  • Must read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must have knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and Freight systems and processes.
  • Utilize all scales, meters, and measuring labeling and packing equipment.
  • Do any lifting or physical activity required.
  • Perform cycle counts as needed.
  • Must have working knowledge of Minimum Shipping Standards as they pertain to the job.
  • Must be familiar with warehouse finished stock inventory procedures.
  • Work independently.
  • Read and distinguish different product labels
  • Must maintain Minimum Shipping Standards to be monitored on a consistent daily/weekly basis.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, when needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.32 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
