Urban Regeneration Consultant Intern

Role description:

As a Urban Regeneration Consultant Intern, you will benefit from exposure to innovative urban regeneration and technical design projects. The role offers the opportunity to develop practical skills and experience within a leading consultancy, as well as mentoring and professional growth within a dynamic and international team.

You will be supported throughout your initial period, with the objective of gaining practical experience in urban regeneration and consultancy on ESG driven feasibility studies, as well as R&D projects. In this position, you will assist in feasibility studies, master planning, and working on research & innovation funding projects. You will contribute to the analysis and integration of NBS within urban redevelopment initiatives. Your responsibilities will include preparing technical reports, drawings, and presentations to support project delivery and client communication.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and planners to ensure effective project execution, and provide technical input to Arcadis’ business lines in the implementation of new initiatives and solutions.

Role accountabilities:

• Technical design support: to support the technical design and development of urban regeneration projects, including feasibility studies, master planning and detailed design phases.
• NBS solutions: contribute to the analysis and integration of NBS solutions within urban regeneration initiatives.
• Project documentation: prepare technical reports, drawings and presentations to support project progress and communication with the client.
• Collaboration: work closely with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects and planners to ensure the effective delivery of projects.
• Support for business lines: provide technical input to Arcadis’ business lines in the implementation of new initiatives and solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in urban design, architecture, environmental studies, sustainable development or equivalent is required.
• A previous experience working on urban resilience projects will be a strong plus.
• Fluency in English (C1) and Italian (B2) language.
• Ability to define economic models;
• Excellent relationship skills and aptitude for teamwork.
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Availability for business trips on the national / international territory

The annual salary range for this position is € 600 - 850 net/monthly
