Mechanics, technicians and automotive repair technicians continue to learn specific skills, even if they learn most of what they need on the job. They get new information by participating in classes at their employer's shop, at community schools and from professional groups. If you enjoy being hands-on and working with your hands, then being a mechanic is a fantastic career choice for you!
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair vehicles .
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical components of a vehicle .
- Execute general maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, tire patching and replacing fluids.
- Perform inspection on motors and engines.
- Install, remove and replace parts of a vehicle's engine.
- Install, remove and replace parts of a vehicle's transmission system.
- Install, remove and replace transmission control systems.
- Remove and install suspension systems on a vehicle.
- Test-drive vehicles to check for noise, poor performance or other issues.
- Use diagnostic equipment to test-drive vehicles to check for noise, poor performance or other issues..
- Follow manufacturer specifications to repair vehicles to ensure safety.
- Perform preventive maintenances like inspecting belts, hoses, water pumps etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $700.00 - $950.00 per week
