Brown Brothers is seeking a dynamic and experienced Venue Manager to oversee our Cellar Door and Restaurant at our flagship home in Milawa. This newly elevated role will lead the full guest experience across both our award-winning Cellar Door and hatted Restaurant — delivering premium hospitality, driving commercial success, and inspiring a high-performing team culture.

About the Role

As Venue Manager, you’ll be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Brown Brothers Restaurant and Cellar Door. Reporting to the Multi Venue Operations Manager, you will:

  • Oversee all front-of-house guest experiences across the Cellar Door and Restaurant FOH
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver best-in-class service and cultural alignment
  • Manage site-level financial performance, including P&L, budgets, and cost control
  • Collaborate with marketing, events, culinary, and winemaking teams to deliver unforgettable experiences
  • Champion safety, compliance, and presentation standards across the site
Skills and Experiences:
About You

We’re looking for a proven hospitality leader who brings:
  • 8+ years of experience in leadership roles across wine, tourism, or hospitality venues
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing multi-departmental operations
  • A passion for creating elevated guest experiences in premium environments
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams across diverse service areas
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and travel as needed
Required: RSA, current Driver’s Licence, and WSET Level 2.
Preferred: Tertiary qualifications in hospitality, business, or tourism.
