Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Verification Manager for ABB’s Low Voltage System Drives in Finland. In this role, you will lead and manage our verification team in product development, ensuring the quality and compliance of our products You will be responsible of competence development, resource allocation and safety of your own testing team. Each day, you will coach and support team members to achieve goals and safety targets. Moreover, you will be building, developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external network. The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid This role is contributing to the System Drives division in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. You will be mainly accountable for: • Capacity management and competence development • Organizing and prioritizing work and resources efficiently • Leading verification planning and execution in projects • Ensuring that product compliance, quality and reliability targets are met • Developing and optimizing product development flow, verification methods, tools and processes • Dealing with third party certification programs based on ISO 17025 • Striving to build a continuous improvement culture You will join a dynamic, talented and high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the role
- Several years of experience in electrical engineering, working with verification, design or product compliance is essential
- Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of testing and electrical safety is essential
- You enjoy communicating with people and possess the ability of seeing the big picture
- You possess innovative, open-minded and stress-tolerant personality with a problem-solving approach to work
- You enjoy playing in the team and have great social skills
- Established knowledge of drive-related standards and ISO17025 is an advantage
- You are at ease communicating in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
- Experience in team leading and/or project management is an advantage
- Ideally, you have knowledge of drives and power electronics products and business
- D.Sc., M.Sc. or B.Sc. in electrical engineering, power electronics or similar field
